1. 25th Annual Christmas Made in the South

Hosted at The Omni Jacksonville, the 25th annual Christmas Made in the South features quality artisan gifts. The last day of the three-day convention is on December 1 (Sunday) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

2. December Art Walk

Downtown Jacksonville's Art Walk theme for December is "Downtown for the Holidays." As usual, Art Walk is held on the first Wednesday of each month (centered in Hemming Plaza), from 5 to 9 p.m., rain or shine. Click Here to download the December 2013 map.

3. Cheap Trick at the Florida Theatre

Tickets range from $38.50 to $58.50 and can be purchased at the Florida Theatre's box office. at 128 E. Forsyth Street in Downtown Jacksonville.

4. Saturday with Santa @ The MOSH

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting the Museum of Science and Natural History on Saturday, December 14th from 12:00 to 4 p.m. The cost is $5 plus normal admission, and includes Science with Santa at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m in the JEA Science Theater.

5. Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra - Toast To The New Year

Tickets range from $75 to $150 for this night of music and dancing (at the after-party) overlooking the beautiful St. John's River. This event starts at 8:30 and lasts until after midnight.

6. Riverside Arts Market

The Riverside Arts Market (RAM) is held beneath the Fuller-Warren bridge each Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It features free live music and a wide variety of local vendors and locally-grown produce.

7. Jacksonville Jaguars December Schedule

The Jaguars will play three home games at EverBank Field in December:

  • December 5th - 8:25 p.m. - Houston Texans
  • December 14th - 1 p.m. - Buffalo Bills
  • December 22nd - 1 p.m. Indianapolis Colts

Former Jaguars quarterback Mark Brunell will be inducted into the club's Ring of Honor at halftime during the Bills game. The game against the Texans is the Jaguars' only primetime game this season.

8. 2013 Jacksonville Great Amazing Race

This annual family adventure/obstacle race is modeled after the television show "The Amazing Race." All participants must be registered in pairs -- such as adult/adult, adult/child, etc. Children must be 5 or older to participate. Registration for each team (pairs) is $40. 9. ZooLights at Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens

Join others at the Jacksonville Zoo for the second-annual ZooLights, a holiday lighting display and Christmas-themed experience featuring warm-weather "ice" skating and marshmallow roasting. ZooLights runs December 13-31, Monday - Thursday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Friday - Sunday from 6:30 to 10 p.m.
