Dreaming of a white Christmas in Jacksonville? Well, it's not going to happen. WinterFEST 2012 is the closest thing you'll find on the First Coast, with ice skating, a 150-foot ice slid, and s'mores roasting, WinterFEST at Adventure Landing (Beach Blvd. location) is a great event for the family. WinterFEST runs all through the month of December.

Jacksonville's Downtown Art Walk is one of the most popular monthly events in Northeast Florida. Open from 5 to 9 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month, rain or shine, Art Walk features live music, vendors, street performers and local artists.

Radio 80 is a talented cover band that exclusively play's 80s rock -- music from artists like Journey, Cheap Trick, The Cars, Billy Idol and much more. Radio 80 will be performing live at The Jacksonville Landing on December 8, 2012. The free show runs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
6. Dan Deacon Live at Underbelly
Downtown Jacksonville's popular Underbelly will host Dan Deacon on Sunday, December 9, 2012. Deacon, an electronic musician, has released eight albums and is known for his elaborate live performances.
Admission is $12.
Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens will transform into a magical Winterland filled with moving "statues" and lights. ZOO Lights runs from December 14 to 23, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 6:30 to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The cost is $9 for non-members and $7 for Jacksonville Zoo & Garden members.
Come see The 5 and Dime Theatre Company's rendention of Hedwig and The Angry Inch live at Underbelly in Downtown Jacksonville on December 13, 14, 15, 21 and 22, 2012. All shows start at 8 p.m. except the last -- its pre-show starts at 8 p.m. and the live show at 10 p.m.
Hedwig and The Angry Inch, written by John Cameron Mitchell, was originally a stage musical adapted to film in 2011. It's won dozens of awards, including a few at Sundance.
