Jacksonville’s Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) at Heming Plaza is a must-stop for film and interactive art lovers. Its seasonal MOCA Underground series offers a diverse mix of documentaries and independent, experimental and foreign films unseen elsewhere in Jacksonville.
Families with kids always make a stop at MOCA’s ArtExplorium Loft, featuring 16 interactive stations designed to make learning about art fun. Kid-friendly, hands-on activities link basic visual art principals with works in the MOCA permanent collection. Museum admission is always free on Target Free Wednesdays. MOCA Underground films cost $6 for students and MOCA members, $8 for nonmembers.
