Art Walk venues are spread over many blocks on either side of the St. Johns River Downtown. So wear comfortable shoes. Three free trolleys – the Azalea, Magnolia and Sunflower lines –serve the Downtown area for free. For a more “uplifting” experience, take the Skyway, Downtown’s elevated automated transit system. The Skyway’s three end stations at Florida Community College at Jacksonville, Prime F. Osborne Convention Center and Kings Avenue are convenient park-n-ride spots. Rides cost 35 cents, 10 cents for elderly and disabled patrons.

The favorite by far, however, is a relaxing ride across Downtown’s crown jewel – the St. Johns River. Hop a river taxi between the Jacksonville Landing, Friendship Fountain, Wyndham Hotel, Crowne Plaza Hotel and Metropolitan Park. Fares are $2 to $5 for one-way or round-trip rides.
