The first Wednesday of each month means just one thing for Jacksonville residents – cavorting with the creative types at the First Wednesday Art Walk Downtown. The self-guided tour features Downtown venues including museums, galleries, restaurants, coffee houses and wine shops, clubs, bars and other businesses displaying the works of dozens of local artists.

The monthly event is an outreach of Downtown Vision, Inc., a nonprofit organization working to revitalize the city’s Downtown corridor and began in 2003 with fewer than 10 venues and a few hundred patrons. Today, more than 40 venues participate each month, attracting locals and visitors by the thousands.
